MT4 white label cost in 2026 has no official price. MetaQuotes says MT4 licences are no longer available for purchase, so any MT4 white label is capacity on a server licensed years ago, priced by its holder. The cost depends on that host’s terms, prepayments, add-ons and how long the server will run. Ask FXUP and we will check availability and send current figures.
How much does an MT4 white label cost in 2026?
An MT4 white label costs whatever the holder of an existing MT4 server decides to charge, because nobody can buy new MT4 capacity from MetaQuotes and MetaQuotes publishes no price. Figures in vendor articles are estimates written for a market that worked differently, and none of them can promise that a seat is available to you.
That changes how you should read any price. With MT5, a white label quote competes against other providers and against licensing MT5 yourself. With MT4, supply is fixed and shrinking, so the seller sets the terms. A quote is worth comparing only after two questions are answered: who holds the server, and for how long it will run.
We do not publish figures on this page, and we do not promise MT4. If you specifically need MT4, write to us and we will check availability for your case. If a trustworthy host exists, we will send you current figures; if not, we will say so and show you what the MT5 routes would look like.
Why can’t you buy a new MT4 licence any more?
Because MetaQuotes stopped selling MetaTrader 4 to new clients and now says outright that MT4 licences are no longer available for purchase. Finance Magnates reported the decision on 12 January 2018: MetaQuotes would stop issuing new licences to new clients, and no new servers would be issued, so existing users could not expand either. MetaQuotes’ broker page for MT4 now points brokers to MetaTrader 5 and says further conceptual updates will only be released for that platform.
The same 2018 report said existing customers would keep technical support and that white label terminals would continue for servers that are already in use. That is why MT4 white labels still exist: they are branded front ends on servers licensed before the stop. It is also why supply only shrinks. Every time a licence holder closes or migrates an MT4 server, that capacity is gone for good.
“The MetaTrader 4 trading platform licenses are no longer available for purchase.”
Why are published MT4 prices a poor guide in 2026?
They are a poor guide because they describe a market that no longer works the way it did. Most MT4 cost articles were written to sell a service and assume that a new broker can shop around on price. In 2026 the real constraint is whether anyone with a legitimate MT4 server will take you on, and for how long.
Three things move the real price away from any published one. Scarcity lets hosts charge more and ask for longer prepayments. Hosts pass on their own MetaQuotes fees, which are not published and change over time. And the remaining life of MT4 at your host decides how many months you get for your setup fee. The same setup fee on a server that closes next year is a very different purchase from one on a platform you can use for several years.
What sets the price of an MT4 white label seat?
The host sets it, and its decision rests on scarcity, risk and scope. Knowing what the host is weighing helps you judge whether a quote is reasonable and where there is room to negotiate.
- Who you are. Hosts carry the reputational and contractual risk of every brand on their server. A regulated firm with clear documents usually gets better terms than an unknown offshore start-up.
- Remaining server life. A host planning its own move to MT5 may offer short terms or none. Ask directly when it expects to close the server.
- Account and group limits. A host with spare capacity on its MT4 server has more room to negotiate than one near its limit.
- Front ends and back office. Standard MetaQuotes terminals, a client area, a CRM, MAM or PAMM tools and bridges are often priced separately.
- Liquidity. Hosts that are also liquidity providers may price the platform lightly and earn on trading instead.
- Manager rights. Read-only access costs the host less risk than rights to change groups or run your own dealing.
- Term and prepayment. Longer commitments and months paid upfront usually buy better monthly terms, at the cost of more risk for you if the host stops.
How is an MT4 white label invoice usually structured?
Most white label invoices combine a one-off setup fee, a prepayment of several months, a fixed monthly platform fee and separate charges for add-ons. The structure matters as much as the totals, because prepayments are often non-refundable and monthly fees can change after the first term.
Prepayment is common throughout the MetaTrader market. On the MT5 side, in the MetaQuotes applications we handle for clients, the Entry tier comes with three months payable upfront; MT4 hosts set their own terms, so ask for them in writing.
- Setup fee: branding, server configuration, groups and symbols. Ask exactly what is configured and how many changes are included.
- Prepayment: often several months of fees, frequently non-refundable. Ask whether it is credited against later invoices.
- Monthly platform fee: fixed or tied to an account limit. Ask what happens when you exceed it.
- Add-ons: CRM, client area, mobile apps, MAM or PAMM tools, bridges and plugins are often priced separately.
- Change and exit fees: new symbols, extra groups, data export and early termination can each carry a charge. Ask for the schedule in writing.
What costs sit outside the headline MT4 white label price?
The costs outside the headline are usually the ones that decide whether the brokerage works: liquidity, CRM, payments, KYC, apps and compliance. A white label gives you a trading server. It does not give you a way to onboard, verify and fund clients unless you buy that too.
| Component | Usually charged by | Question to ask |
|---|---|---|
| Liquidity and bridge | Liquidity provider or bridge vendor | Is the bridge included, and is pricing per volume or a fixed fee? |
| CRM and client area | CRM vendor or the white label host | Does it sync accounts and balances with the MT4 server automatically? |
| KYC and AML checks | Identity verification provider | Is pricing per check, per month or bundled in the CRM? |
| Payment service providers | PSPs, card acquirers, crypto processors | What are the onboarding, per-transaction and chargeback terms? |
| Branded mobile apps | App developer; store accounts with Apple and Google | Will the apps be published under your own developer accounts? |
| Hosting and support | The host, often inside the monthly fee | What response times are written into the agreement? |
| Company and compliance | Corporate service and legal providers | Which jurisdiction, and what licence, if any, is needed for your target markets? |
| Future MT5 migration | Your next provider | What will it cost to move accounts and history out of this server? |
What should you check before paying for MT4 capacity?
Check the licence chain, the server’s future and your exit before you check the price. These steps take a few days and protect the setup fee and prepayment you are about to commit.
- Get the licence holder’s nameAsk for the legal name of the company that holds the MT4 server licence, and confirm it matches the company you will contract with or its parent.
- Confirm white labels are allowedAsk which clause of the host’s MetaQuotes agreement permits white labels on its server. A vague answer is a warning sign.
- Ask about the server’s futureAsk whether the host has planned an MT4 end date or a move to MT5, and what notice it would give you.
- Read the prepayment termsFind out what happens to prepaid months if the host closes the server, changes terms or ends the contract.
- Secure your dataAgree in writing what client, account and trade history you receive on exit, in which format and how fast.
- Price the MT5 alternativeAsk for an MT5 quote at the same time, so you can see what MT4 is really saving you. Ask us for current MT5 figures if you have none.
What does a forced move from MT4 to MT5 cost you?
A forced move costs you engineering time, client attention and, often, a second setup fee, and on MT4 it is a question of when rather than if. In 2026 KCM Trade announced the end of its MT4 service after market close on 30 October 2026, and OANDA Japan announced that new MT4 orders would stop on 25 September 2026 with the service ending on 27 November 2026. Both cited security, noting that MetaQuotes no longer maintains MT4. If your host follows, you migrate on its timetable.
The direct costs are the MT5 environment, data migration, new or repointed apps and CRM integration. The indirect ones are larger: support load during cutover, clients who leave rather than change platform, and EA users whose MQL4 code must be converted to MQL5. Our MT4 to MT5 migration checklist breaks the work down, and the MT4 to MT5 migration page explains how we approach it.
How should you compare MT4 and MT5 white label cost over 24 months?
Compare the full two-year cost of each route, including the migration MT4 implies, rather than the setup fees. A short worksheet is enough, and it usually settles the decision. Use real quotes for each line; our MT5 white label cost and MT5 grey label cost guides explain what each MT5 quote should contain.
- List one-off costsSetup fee, prepayment, branding, app builds and company formation for each route.
- Add 24 months of feesMonthly platform fee, CRM, liquidity, KYC and hosting, with a margin for fee changes after the first term.
- Price the exitFor MT4, add a full MT5 migration within the period. For MT5, add the cost of moving to your own licence if you expect to outgrow the host.
- Weigh the riskAsk what you lose if the host stops: setup fee, prepayment, client data, app listings. Treat that as a cost.
- Compare like for likeSet the totals side by side with time to launch: about 1–2 weeks for an MT5 grey label and 2–4 weeks for an MT5 white label with FXUP.
MT4 seat on an existing server
Possibly the lightest start, if available at all. Highest exit risk and a near-certain second project to move to MT5.
MT5 white label
A platform with a future and room to grow, subject to MetaQuotes’ current position on new white labels.
MT5 grey label
Usually the lowest commitment and the quickest launch, with your own groups and brand inside a provider’s licensed server.
Own MT5 licence
Highest fixed cost and most responsibility, but no host risk. MetaQuotes offers Entry, Standard and Enterprise licences.
Is a liquidity provider’s MT4 white label priced differently?
Often, yes. Some liquidity providers offer MT4 white labels on their own existing servers and earn mainly from trading commissions rather than platform fees. Tickmill’s white label page, for example, offers a fully branded MT4 client platform with a personal MT4 Manager and says there is no setup or monthly fee for its liquidity services, FIX API connection, MT4 price feed and bridge.
That model can look light on cost, and for a small broker it may be. The trade-off is dependence: your liquidity, platform and server sit with one company, and changing liquidity provider later means changing platform too. Read the termination and data-export terms as carefully as the commission terms, and ask the provider directly how long it plans to keep its MT4 server running.
What does the MT5 licence route involve if MT4 is not available?
It involves choosing one of MetaQuotes’ three MT5 tiers, passing its verification and paying a monthly fee that depends on the tier. MetaQuotes publishes no prices; its order page describes the tiers by real-account capacity.
In the MetaQuotes applications we handle for clients, the Entry tier requires three months to be paid upfront. If you would rather not hold a licence yourself, an MT5 grey label or, where MetaQuotes allows it, an MT5 white label puts you on someone else’s licensed server. Our MetaQuotes MT5 requirements page lists what MetaQuotes asks for.
| Tier | Real-account capacity stated by MetaQuotes | Who MetaQuotes positions it for |
|---|---|---|
| Entry | 1,000 real accounts | Start-ups and small companies |
| Standard | 25,000 default real accounts | Established medium to large companies |
| Enterprise | 200,000 default real accounts | Large institutions such as banks and liquidity providers |
How does FXUP handle MT4 and MT5 enquiries?
We quote every project in writing after a short conversation, and we do not publish prices. For MT4 the first step is not a quote but a check: if you specifically need MT4, write to us and we will check availability for your case. We will tell you if we cannot find a host we would trust, and we do not promise MT4 in advance.
For MT5, the quote covers the route (grey label, white label or your own licence), the components you need and a timeline. As a consulting firm we handle MetaQuotes requirements and applications for clients, for a fee, and we supply the technology: our branded WebTrader, iOS and Android apps, liquidity integration and a CRM synced to MT5 — our own broker CRM or a partner CRM, whichever fits. If you have an MT4 quote already, send it to us on WhatsApp and we will point out what it leaves out.
